Ching Johnson Billboard, Downtown Minneapolis, 1970
Ching Johnson was a popular professional hockey player with strong Minnesota ties. He ended his hockey career in 1940, with the Minneapolis Millers of the American Hockey Association. From there, Ching apparently moved on to even bigger and better things in the home remodeling business. (And how about that lonely, pre-IDS Foshay Tower in the background?)
