So Long, Gary! Gary Eichten signs off Friday after 45 years on the air at Minnesota Public Radio. Gary Eichten signs off Friday after 45 years on the air at Minnesota Public Radio. He’s a “heckuva” guy, and while he’s not especially known as a clothes horse, he at least has always had sense enough to avoid three-piece checked suits.
